Heb 'm in het echt gezien van dichtbij en de mate van detail van deze Silhouette is echt verschrikkelijk goed. Ik ben zelf helemaal niet een fan van Silhouette raceauto's en als je de voorganger ziet, de Rood Blauwe S60 uit het BTCS, dan is dit echt een sprong hoger op de ladder.
De Blauwe S60's zijn wel mooier dan de Zwarte omdat de details beter zichtbaar zijn. De Zwarte zijn "woester". Polestar heeft voor Zwart gekozen om de "Black R" modellen te promoten maar die komen denk ik toch niet in NL op de markt.

Wat een woeste auto, erruuugg mooi hoor!!

Denk dat er binnenkort wel weer een mooie promo komt.
Zag er op het circuit wel leuk uit en als ze een beetje kunnen monteren dan dan zal het wel een gaaf resultaat geven.

Volvo Polestar goes for victory in TTA – the Elite Racing Series
The first race in the TTA-series will take place this weekend at the Karlskoga Motor Stadium. Expectations run high both on and within Volvo Polestar with a completely new technical regulation, new race car and four drivers in two different own teams. One of the teams, Volvo Polestar Racing, with blue S60 cars and drivers Thed Björk and Fredrik Ekblom, will thereby challenge not only BMW, SAAB and Citroën, but also the Volvo Polestar Black R team with Robert Dahlgren and Tommy Rustad in black S60 cars.



"We are really looking forward to this. Last time we hade a premiere for a new series in Sweden was in STCC 17 years ago and we also won the first season then allthough we had only one driver. Now, we have four, the strongest driver line-up ever, so we know what is expected" says Derek Crabb, Director for Motorsport at Volvo Car Corporation.

Live coverage on free TV, and smartphones
TTA – the Racing Elite Series will not only push the sporting standard to a new level but also how one can experience motorsport. For the first time, Swedish Volvo- and racing fans will be able to follow domestic elite racing live on free TV – Channel 10. In Addition, the whole race day will be broadcasted on pay channel Viasat Motor which can also be accessed with a computer or a smartphone through the Viaplay service.

Volvo Polestar claimed double victory

Ekblom and Björk one-two in this years’ toughest and most eventful race. Lead extended in all three championships.

Last Saturday, the Touring Car Team Association Elite Racing Series visited Karlskoga for the fifth race of the season and it turned in to a great day for all Volvo Polestar fans.

If the first half of the season mostly displayed clean and tactical driving, this was nowhere to be found where the second half of the season kicked off. On top of that, shifting weather conditions made both the qualifying and the race even more eventful.

Fredrik Ekblom showed good form straight away and claimed pole. Thed Björk secured a fifth position on the grid, while Robert Dahlgren and Tommy Rustad had to abort their very last attempts as the qualifying session was red-flagged following a competitor going off the track with less than a minute left of the session. The result was tenth and eleventh on the grid respectively.

Ekblom made the most of his starting position. He took the start and kept his lead through the finish line. Björk lost a position in the start but reclaimed the same and four more. He chased Ekblom during the last laps for the lead but crossed the finish line as second.

“This must be the race of the year! A big thanks to the team, our engineer Jan Andersson gave us a perfect car. I wasn’t able to catch Ekblom, but securing a double victory with him for Volvo feels great,” said Björk. '

Dahlgren and Rustad got a much tougher journey from their respective starting positions and exchanged quite a lot of paint with the competitors. When the checkered flagged appeared, Dahlgren had fought his way to a fifth place while Rustad, with a car in a very different condition as when he started the race, could claim eleventh place.

With the results from this weekend, Volvo Polestar extended their lead in the drivers, team and manufacturer championship. Three ore races remain now in this years´ TTA-series and next up is Anderstorp on September 1.

Vandaag, in de aanloop naar weer een racedag, was het trackday in Zweden: alleen Volvo V60 Black T Polestar owners.

Het jaar ging best wel goed voor dit raceteam. Dit weekend finale in Goteborg!

All about the TTA Finale this weekend
Ekblom needs 1 point in Gothenburg to secure the drivers championship and a Grand Slam for Volvo Polestar.
This weekend marks the Grande Finale for the TTA - Elite Racing Series at City Race Arena in Gothenburg. Volvo Polestar has already secured the team and manufacturers championship. Fredrik Ekblom leads the drivers championship with 29 points ahead of his only championship title contender Linus Ohlsson, and there are only 29 points left to fight for.

Here is how it works. A driver is awarded 1, 2 or 3 points respectively for third, second or first position (pole position) in qualifying. A race win is awarded 25 points. One more point is awarded to the driver who sets the fastest lap in the race. Hence a driver can score a maximum total of 29 points during a race weekend.

In a scenario where Ekblom qualifies outside top three this weekend, scores zero points in the race – and at the same time – Ohlsson takes pole, wins the race and sets the fastest lap, then both Ekblom and Ohlsson end up with the same total points score, but Ohlsson wins the drivers championship due to more race wins.

In another scenario where Ekblom qualifies third, he will score 1 qualifying point and extend his lead to an unreachable 30 points, and thereby claim the drivers title even before the race. Still, Volvo Polestar takes nothing for granted.

“One of the worst things you can do in motorsport is to get defensive and drive counting points. We must and will go flat out to take pole position and win the race, nothing less. A lot of our colleagues will be there and count on us to do precisely that too, and we will both need and count on their support” says Alexander Murdzevski Schedvin at Volvo Cars Motorsport.

V40, V40 R-Design and V40 Cross Country on display

In addition to the excitement on offer on the race track, Volvo Polestar has also made another few additions to the event to further improve the Volvo experience for fans and customers. The new Volvo V40 will both be the official Leading Car and on display together with its newest siblings, the Volvo V40 R-Design and the Volvo V40 Cross Country. The Volvo Polestar pit area is redesigned to allow the public to enter the actual pit box for a very close 360-degree view of the race cars. Finally, the pit area will also house a racing heritage section and a merchandise store also selling official Volvo Polestar racing team wear.
