Hi everybody!

I am looking for the extra alarme for the amaizing volvo 480.
The alarme 2045 it was not sold in sweden becuse some rules about the remote was not legal!! or someting stupid like that, but it was legal in the rest of europe.. So is there enybody that knows howe to get a complete set?

yes they said it was not sold in swe, but in the rest of europe it was ok! For a while ago a read on the europe-480 club that someone had found a new alarme kit on e-bay and installed it to his car in england. have been looking at e-bay sens that but never seen it fore sale. then a found this page and thougt, if im lucky here i can get some answers. have bought peices to my cars from Nl before.

Have you tried the 480europe forum? They have a large market section with parts and cars for sale and other valuable information.

And you can contact this guy, he is the 480 specialist in Holland and speaks English. He is the funder of the 480europe forum. If anybody knows it will be him.

Not 100% accurate The 480 Club Europe and its forum are not related to onderdeel-nodig - but the persons behind the club and onderdeel-nodig do know each other personally

The alarm is, if I recall correctly, no longer available as kit. It is extremely nice to be able to say 'I have the original alarm', but compared to modern alarms it's quite simple:

- ultrasonic sensors instead of interiour radar
- remote keyfob without rolling code

An alternative would be to get hold of the original keyfobs and insert the electrics of a modern keyfob

A dealer should be able to check VADIS and see what parts the complete kit consists of. Perhaps a nearby dealer is even able to order the parts seperately?

I have managed to get a complete set through an auction site, am planning to install it one day. HERE you can download the 3 manuals I scanned related to the 2045 alarm: one for the extra doorlock motor, one installation manual for the alarm itself and a user manual.

@ coyote1980, Ik ben trouwens de nwe eigenaar van Gersi's 480S full options. Dankzij jouw positieve bericht over deze 480 op het MSN 480forum ben ik een kijkje gaan nemen. Er was geen woord van gelogen, heerlijke wagen!
ps: die vlag moet nog steeds van het dak!

So you have the orginal alarm... want to sell???
I have bought the volvo guard 1 alarm (210 211) frome a volvo 460 but not istalled it yet. It also have the ultrasonic sensor and glas sensor and a nice retro remote but the 2045 alarm would be the ultimate.
Have downloded the istallmanuals from eur-480,but cant youse the help for my alarm kit.

Glassbreak sensor was not available in Holland, due to certificates. But I think you can try to install that kit on your 480, which has allready been ready for remote because of the standard central doorlocking.

What a wonderful 480 you have! Smoke silver, all the bits and pieces available for audio, I really like that CD401 changer controller Use a CT906 myself. Nice black Volvo stereo with CD slot and changer support

Thanks alot! I hade the 906 before but mine was grey, not nice. But a black one is nice. Is the 12" behind collection the number of the car? if thats so, the lowest number i seen.. impressiv.

Have been serching for the 2045 alarm a while now but, nothing.. I went to my local Volvo dealer and they serch the system for it and found out that it was not for sale in Swe but they had a price for the system and ..... ready??

They said that was the higest price ever... O my god... So i think that the alarm sys is mega rar... lucky you

Hi Jimmi, yep, #12/480 is the number of my Collection, and as far as I am concerned: it will never go. If petrol becomes unavailable I will either put a hydrogen engine in my 480 or park it in my livingroom

For the alarm: € 750 is not what I paid for it If I were you I would ask the dealer if they could make a list of all the parts the kit consists out of, and try to find the prices for the individual parts. That way you might be able to save some money on the complete set by going after certain parts secondhand. I cannot imagine what part(s) of the kit make the price € 750 - that's insane!
