Hi guys,

Sorry, mijn Nederlands is niet zo goed :P

I'm about to buy my very first Volvo, and I'm very excited about it!

I have a question, and I'm sorry if it appears to some of you as a stupid one :P

I placed my eyes on two C30's. One is a black 1.6 from 2009 and the other one is a grey 1.8 sport edition from 2008. Both have about the same price and milage (100000 km).

I am leaning more toward the 1.8 sport... But does the sport edition require more maintance compared to a normal 1.6? For example, I know that as a rule of thumb the belt needs to be replaced around 210000km... But is this true for both editions?

Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Thanks!

The 1.8 doesn't have a belt. It's a chain and it's there for life.
Further, the 1.8 has more power, a little bit worse fuel economy. Also I think the sport has a more luxury trim.

So I'd take the 1.8 anyway
1998 Peugeot 106 1.5d Accent - 259k naar 273k in 5,5 maand
2006 Peugeot 206 1.4hdi air line - 226k naar 270k in 1 jaar en 3 maanden

2008 my2009 Volvo C30 1.8 sinds 30-3-2015 van 136k nu op 222k+
