Hello there
I am at the point of buying some parts for my Volvo xc90 T6 2004 and was wondering if anybody has experience or advice about which parts .
I asked the Garage what would it cost for them to do it and it was a bit expensive, and I am not scared of getting my hands dirty so I thought I'll do it my self.
I'll explain I have two lists of the parts I need one list is volvo parts and the other a list of similar parts but none volvo. but made to fit volvo by some place in Germany.

The none Volvo parts are cheaper that the Volvo parts,
Does anybody have experience using the cheaper none volvo parts or is goed koop duur koop :-)
thanks in advance

For brakediscs: use Volvo OEM, is my advise. I had a lot of problems with non-OEM's and it's a bad way to save because in the end, you're very likely to end up with the real deal anyway.
With non-OEM's I had problems ranging from uneven brake power, pulling the car to a side, to screeching and grinding noises.

It's okay to use non oem parts, but use the better brands like ATE, Brembo etc. for brakediscs and pads. For the other items you want to buy, its best to use oem. What brand did you find for the fuseekogel and draagarm?

Brake disk: ATE, same as OEM, but without the Volvo box.
Control arm and ball joint: Lemforder. Same as above, Volvo often uses this brand.

Thanks for the info so far , it confirms what I was already thinking about getting cheap parts, that they might lead to heartache in the end :-)

The fusee and draagarm I found was merk Febi Bilstein,
I still need to double check the size of the disks 17 or 17.5 and so on
