In de nieuwe iOS versie van de Volvo app (5.55.0) zit nu ook Honk&Flash maar belangrijker -vind ik- in de app kun je nu voor PIH ook zoeken naar laadpunten, tankstations, parkeerplaatsen en andere bestemmingen en dat doorzetten naar de navigatie.

Belangrijk om te vermelden dat het om AAOS auto's gaat. Voor Sensus was dit er altijd al icm de iOS app. Is het je al opgevallen, dat ze de "honk & flash" alweer verwijderd hebben?
Klaarblijkelijk (zoals we Volvo kennen) zat er een bug in dat bij AAOS de batterij van de auto leeggetrokken werd omdat iets nadien actief blijft...
Nu ben ik wel benieuwd of de feature (die pas een paar weken beschikbaar was op iOS (AAOS only) maar al jaar en dag werkt met een My Volvo Android app) ook weg is gehaald bij de My Volvo app op Android icm AAOS?

Iets meer context in Engels;
from what I’ve understood from that thread above, while the issue appeared simultaneously with its introduction in the iOS app, but it was not caused by the app itself. The reason is that there were some changes to the backend of the system, which kept sending the requests to the car preventing it from returning to sleep mode and causing excessive battery usage.
Given all the other issues with AAOS which are still not ironed out several years after its introduction (I’m on 3.5.14, the speed recognition works worse than ever, and the sound output has crashed once causing full infotainment reboot while driving), the only word I have to describe Volvo’s software and their SW QA process is ‘pathetic’.
