Leuk artikel in PCM (pcmweb.nl?) maart 2012 over ODB2 op je smartphone. Maak van je smartphone een extra instrumenten paneel.
Cool stuff, een ODB2 connector en BlueTooth, beetje software voor paar tientjes.. lees !

Is vaker gepost, kan soms met goedkope ELM BT adapter (heb hem ook) maar foutcodes kun je maar heel beperkt uitlezen.

Ik heb het gelezen en mijn interesse was gewekt. Maar dan is een auto met OBD II wel handig ... Nu nog OBD I in de 960.

Handles all control units
In a modern car there are several control units that handles the engine, transmission, ABS, airbag, radio, air conditioning and much more. Compared to the large amount of ordinary code readers available on the market, the PPC 3 Diagnostic System is capable of communicating with all control units in the car. All diagnostic trouble codes are displayed with a DTC number, according to standard, together with text messages explaining what the codes mean. If necessary, the diagnostic trouble codes can also be erased.

Every car that you have read diagnostic trouble codes from will be saved so that you can access it later if you want to.

Ja die werkt prima en dat weet ik uit ervaring maar ik vrees dat je de essentie van het verhaal gemist hebt.

Het gaat n.l. over een OBDII lezer die, middels Blue-tooth, samenwerkt met deze applicatie voor een Android-smartphone: Torque (Pro)

En met de OBDII lezer van BSR gaat dat beslist niet !

Nee, dat werkt niet.

Dit is alleen maar leuk om wat live waarden op je telefoon te toveren tijdens het rijden.

Ik en vele anderen hebben al vaker gezegd hier dat Volvo de computers behoorlijk heeft dicht getimmerd en dat zelfs met Universele Professionele apparatuur niet veel uit te lezen en te resetten is in tegenstelling tot Vida icm met de Dice unit.
